My first TM (and first ever) bash. At the Bridlington beach.

Arrived 8.30am, nice and early and secured a good spot. Met the guys, great to put faces to names.

Bashed were from all different scales, Nitro, gasers, eleckys..even a tank and one hovercraft.

Weather was overcast, mostly sunny and mildly breezy. Not many crowds, horse riders, dog walkers, and general beach folk.

Lots of Bajas, really loud.

MCD's, EVO and the monster..and it's bigger than Jupiter.

Some Traxxas eleckys, man they take a beating!!

School boy errors: forgot camera and crate of beer at home =(

Here's some pics snapped by Yanto:

Trying not to crowd others, I mostly ran quite far from others..but gave the camera no close ups..

What a day!! can't wait to the next one!!

Wow, looks like you had fun and lots of room to play! How did the Nutech fair against the other makes?

Nice, looks like a lot of fun! I wish there were more people around Nebraska to run with. The only groomed track around here is in Omaha, 35 miles away and they only allow 1/10 and 1/8 scale. Don't know what there missin LOL

Hi GasJockey =)

Lots of room, I was sliding 50ft radius drifting and sliding around trying to grip roll on firm sand left by the tide. No grip roll, none. Understeers quite a bit, but when push comes to shove, it will oversteer.

I really like the MCD Evo runners, love how wide they are and the way they squat..seems to really put the power down. Only gripe is how tiny their wheels/tyres looks.

Baja's? They just look like too much fun..lots of Baja's had paddles today, so they're not restricted to the firmer sand. My punisher seems to just chuck sand everywhere on that soft, dry stuff. LOL

Strange X-Files moment of the day: two RC's (Baja and Evo Runner) both running Spektrums I think, simultaneously ran away. Not sure why. Mobile phone maybe?

Overall, I think we were all quite evenly matched. Perhaps with the handling sorted out, the Punibolt can be even more outstanding!

Best drift of the day: 3 massive WOT figure of eight drift. Glad to have all that space. Awesome day..bit deafened by them Baja's LOL

Hi RCGuy,

They sure don't know what they're missing. Before this, I had a Nitro truck..good fun..but breaks every run. =(

So far I've fried two servo's (both steering and gas/brake) and two sets of rear diff gears, and snapped pullstart rope. O, and bent front shock tower, didn't notice till this morning. And I'm on about 12 litres.

It's just so robust. Sure, I'm not abusing it, but it has taken a couple of tumbles at speed. Really pleased with it.

Perhaps you need to get them into the Punibolt, some asked me about it and I said I would recommend anyone to get one. The price alone, for me, is very persuasive. And these kits are quite tough, and parts are not going to break the bank! But then again, I've not owned Baja's, MCD's and FG's..

The jumping Traxxas doesn't quite do it justice: they don't show the landings they've endured..LOL

O mate, I'm so converted to large scale gasers. If I had my old Nitro truck, I'd be wrenching every 5 mins.

Yes, you would love it!!

Here's the link of the guys who's organised it:

Hoss and Yanto (aka Stumpy) both research and scout out bash spots. They're good bunch of guys, it's relaxing, fun and general mayhem.

The go everywhere and all over the country!! BMX tracks, old disused tracks, parks etc..

It was sweet and plenty of room for a bunch of petrol hoooligans..and elecky's, and Nitro's too. LOL

Funny thing was, there was a caravan (RV) site just opposite us, they didn't seem to mind..but, there was some 25 of us strong.LOL

Sorry to hear about your lad, hope he's on a speedy recovery =)

The sand was awesome, didn't have paddles so stuck to the firmer stuff left by the tide.

Defo, see you at the next one buddy =)

It was a great day out, been on several TM2 bashes and the atmosphere is typical - good natured and jovial. I didn't get much footage and what I did get wasn't brilliant. The Punisher seemed to love it though! If you're in the UK keep 'em peeled for a bash near you :)

The only problem I had was the kill switch got wet and then acted up for the rest of the day.

Sorry I didn't run with you buddy, was trying to give myself and everyone plenty of space..Didn't want to crash into anybody and break any bits =(

Shame you didn't get good any good footage, great little camera though buddy.

Ya, that one killswitch glitch happened right in front of us. Could have been a lot worse.
