Has anyone raced one of these cars in a proper competition against FG, HARM, Contrast ect yet?

Only seen Punishers up against other 4x4's. MCD's and other FTX's
Can they race 2wd and 4wd together?
Maybe check out a bash with a track setup for racing..?

There about the same as an MCD in comparison to 2wd cars.
They are however much stronger and, after a bit of tinkering and a few option parts very reliable.
At the mo my Pro TB II is a little slower than an MCD though a combination of standard engine, gearing a little low (just got the gears to cure that though) and lack of talent lol.
I'm loving it :)

I can only compare mine to my fg and the other guys I bash with. with decent tires, shock springs and fix the chassis flex, it's a very nice car. especially for the money.
I am still working through a few little bugs but I can hold my own with other fg's no problem.

Sorry guys, are we talking about the Punibolt or the GT5-R?
Confoooozed =P
Talking about flex and all, I'm looking to do a cage a la Mooman's (fingers crossed).
Nige:
You have gearing!?!?!? Which ones?

Nige, don't blame the lack of talent, it's the hangover thats to blame.
And Yes we're talking about the GT5-R.
With the lack of proper anti roll bars, not having hydraulic brakes all round, no LSD (not the drug!) and the thin chassis I wouldn't race this car with other touring cars. I would run one in the class for race trucks and GTS cars which tend to be driven more by club drivers that don't spend loads of cash or have team drives rather than the guys who go in for it in a big way and run the touring car shell.
Unless Nige is doing then we've no dealer in the UK for these cars which is a shame because it would be nice to see one.

I put mine on a 10mm fg chassis to solve the flex problem. I agree there is a ton of flex. should have seen the front when I applied brakes ;)

I don't think you need hydraulic brakes to be competitive though. that's more a bling thing. Mechanical brakes can be setup nice and even too. Traction was the biggest issue
