Just curious about getting a couple, I didn't want to run my MT without installing it. I just don't want to destroy another crown/pinion.

I have a hard time justifying a aluminum case int he rear. Lots of $$$.

I'm gonna drop one in soon as I can, I've been through two diff gears, one plastic diff gear box, two sets of diff cups (not related, went through two sets of front diff cups too). And now the rear diff housing is starting to warp too. =(
It just makes financial sense to do it..if that diff housing holds up that is..LOL.

I'd be tempted to the plastic alternative (slightly cheaper than the alloy one..LOL), if it's strong and stiff enough.

Do any of the North American Distributors/Dealers have these in stock?

what happens to the diff housings? I seen a new machined nutech rear gear box on tues night it was impressive, but do I need it?

after a few tanks the plastic housing got soft and allowed the crown to move away from the pinion, ....you guessed it, stripped gears. I haven't tried the new improved housing yet but they do look beefier, more webbing and an extra bolt. I'm using the Nutech cnc alloy housing now with no issue so far.... there is a post with pics in here somewhere of the old and new revised housings.

grab the cnc housing like Scott says...I stripped 3 rear diff ring and pinions running the old case..the cnc one is the best way to insure it doesn't happen...I've a locked centre diff and OBR full mod so am sending oodles of torque to the rear diff and haven't had a problem since fitting the cnc case:punk:

go with the machined version Matt. The cast ones are from the Smartech Titan, the area at the top where the shock tower bolts on tends to snap off the cast one.
