Hi all!
I just recieved my first Nutech (SandStorm) from Scott at Zero Gravity yesterday and I have to say this things looks to be SOLID! I have 3 other 1/5 scale RC's Hpi Baja, Baja Truck, and Redcat MT v1. I just sold my MCD Monster truck (which I brought from Clubin last year) so I could make room for this Nutech. All of the other cars are now running without issues which prompted me to get a new car :boxing:!
I've read some of the issues about the car concerning servos and the steering linkage and have decided to go ahead and try to work on all of that before getting this thing dirty. Here are the parts that I've ordered so far:

Also, should I upgrade to the CNC diff housing as well?
Any feedback would be apprecaited as I would like to get this thing out on in the dirst ASAP! :)
Thanks,

I think front cvd's are a given for these things. I can't speak for the new plastic dif cases but the proto ones were sure soft and glad I added the dif cases. 3 alloy cases and a pair of cvd's runs about $200. that is just such a cheap upgrade to bullet proof the drivetrain. that would buy one fg alloy dif case ;)

Cool- I'll order that then, the HPI baja style filter will work on these correct?
Thanks!

The HPI filters work, you'll have to mess around with the cross bar in front of the carb unless you buy one of these http://www.oneillbrothers.com/rccar/itemdescription/shreadstack_angled.htm

Congrats on the Nutech. It will be a lot different than the MCD MT.

No kidding! I just took it out with the guy who brought the MCD off of me, the Nutech is much lighter than I thought and very fast (I'm sure the Jetpro pipe had something to do with that as well :punk:)! Got through one tank without issue was on my way to give it a serious work out untila screw fell out that held front left tire together which I just put it back together with some lock tite. Overall its a great truck! Can wait to put some hop ups on it just to weigh it down a bit.

Loving it, just upgraded the steering servo, reciever and throttle servo. I'm not going to upgrade much more - maybe just a few more alloy parts to give it some more weight. All n all the car seems to perform great as is!

Hi noyb98098 and welcome to the forum you have certainly made a good choice.
My advice to you place all the parts mentioned in your list, check & double check all screws and go and enjoy the beast.
Get the feel of the car first then you will know what diff oils and shock oils you might prefer.
