well i guess not alot of options.
fg or fg style tires (aka river hobby) but they are a bit smaller than the 180mm nutech ones or adapters and a nice set of excavators. that would look nice.
another option is 5t rear tires (hostile has a couple of options) with the gears reversed.

you could also try some unglued rims/tyres and boil the rims first. boiling helps brittle rims. when I was running for TTR we had to boil the rims or they snapped like a redcat body
not trying to offend, just haven't heard a lot of breaking rim problems

I'd go with the HPI adapters cos the choice of tyres is way bigger than anything on squares...hostile mini MX or MX, proline badlands or bowties...HB...rc4wd etc and you got 5b or slightly taller 5t tyres to coose from...
from personal experience i can say the excavators look good but grip is rubbish on any surface other than asphalt or hardpan

Just got the tires in (I hate when Daves ships via FEDEX Ground if your not at home they wont leave your package)! Will have some pic's up tonight hopefully. I mounted one tire so far and it looks MUCH better than the stock wheels, hopefully they perform like they look.

has anyone tried the XRC wheels? you can use HPi tires on those yet, and they still have the square drive hex I believe..
