What are the differences between The first thunderbolt and the Second that's now out?
The main differences are as follows... you know, come to think of it, it would be faster to say what HASN'T changed, but here goes...
New better fitting and better looking body, with better mounting method.
New rear bumper rollcage piece integrating a vastly improved wing mounting system, and acting as a rear bumper and to a point a wheely bar.
New sealed diffs throughout, capable of taking silicone oil.
Fatter CNC (as opposed to previous which were cast) steering knuckles.
700cc fuel tank, as opposed to 600cc in previous.
CY engine, as opposed to Smartech own brand engine in previous.
Steering servo moved from right side to left side and now facing forward.
Front rollcage extension removed to allow the front body to sit a bit lower.
New plastic piece added to throttle servo area, in order to accomodate standard sized servo which is more than enough to lock up all 4 wheels on asphalt.
Smaller more rigid diff covers (bulkheads, not the round diff covers that surround the planetary gears).
Better wheel design.
Reworked front upper and lower suspension arms
Thicker shock oil supplied stock (old TB1 was too soft)
The dogbones no longer pop out due to redesigned diff internals and outdrives.
If I remember anything else I will post it.

Sounds like Nutech really did their homework on this. Sounds great!

Is it a 23cc CY or a 26cc CY?
26cc in my version, but that ould depend on which dealer you buy from. Nutech can make it to suit the pricing desired by the dealer. For example, we can even request it with an RTR 2.4Ghz radio and a CY26cc, or with no radio and a 23cc. It's quite flexible. I would expect most retailers to be selling the 26cc version though.
