Blackbone, a company that develops parts for RC cars made a diff locker for me and my team drivers.
I decided not to sell it in the end as I found that if you lock the centre diff you end up having loads of problems with the rear diff and diff housing (I tried both v1 and v2 diff housings).
The main problem being because of the locked diff we were destroying diff ring gears and pinions.
We found that the diff housing isn't strong enough to hold the mesh between the diff input and ring gear if the car is driven on bumpy ground or if jumped with power on. there is no where for these shock loads to go so to speak.
I have since changed to a centre diff with 30,000 diff oil and have had no further problems.
I'm sure if you use a CNC diff housing you'll be able to use a diff locker without causing any problems ;o)
Any one else tried to lock their centre diff and experienced rear drivetrain issues?

I've been running one of the blackbone centre diffs with no issues yet bar the cups taking a serious bit of stick. The centre dogbones have grooved in quite nicely. They were reasonably OK before the locker was used. This has been in the space of 4 -5 tanks

just to note the surfaces have been mainly tarmac/concrete but has also had some grass running. I have no idea whether the cups are the softer early cups either. It certainly does feel better though with a locked centre :punk:

I like it myself. I have my alloy center one locked now...
