You know I think it's great :)
How do you find it when driving the car?

No it's Mag as in Magnetic.
It uses the principle of back EMF to lock the diff!!!! It's a really cool idea. The more one side of the diff turns in respect to the other side the harder the diff locks.
So if there is only a small difference in speed (like going round a corner) the diff remains quite open. But if one wheel looses grip then it grenerates a current that locks the diff. the more it spins, the harder it locks.
Sounds more complicated than it is in reality lol.
As it's electro mechanical it's got a very smooth progressive diff locking action.
I'm looking forward to getting one of these doing centre diff duties like Ronin, in theory (lol) should be great :punk:
This might explain things better lol :-

well it certainly sounds good!
My worry would be attracting ferrous stones to the geartrain

Just seeing the car gradually slow down as the old nails and bits of metal dropped over time jump up and jam it up
Specially if an MCD has been out on the track and left most of it's diffs for you to find
LOL

Why don't you let us see the internals of that diff?

Have you had a chance to run with the new diff?

Roninx, I don't see any coils in the photos? Only plates with a series of magnets.
