I know the Thunderbolt 2 comes with a 26 cc engine. Has anyone tried a 29cc or 30.5cc in one yet?

Not to my knowledge. It will be interesting when someone does, as it will identify whether or not the smaller more rigid diff covers will now be able to cope with the power. On the Titan derived platforms (the Titan, the Boxer, the TB1), when you added a lot more torque, the diffs would do their best to escape from their housings, often succeeding. Nutech has tried to address this with a redesign of the covers, so time will tell. Personally, I will not be upgrading the engine, I like the good bottom and top offered by stock 26cc engines.

We did contact CY for 29CC, they offered a high price to us. we will not consider to carry CY29CC this moment.

Mine came with a 23 which I found was to sluggish for a 4x4 (and also Im used to 29's in everything else:D) so I fitted up a 28.5 big bore kit. Also filled the centre diff with 50 000 diff goo and bolted up a titan side pipe. It goes very nicely now:dance:

Does the body still fit using the Titan pipe?

I had to trim a fair bit off the pipe side to get it on, but a fat pipe is worth a trim for:D

yes i have owned a cy 29cc which i am currently rebuilding mine is the billet head version. but i must say great power low/and top end.

a good engine, never had any probs with mine,i would suggest to avoid the billet heads though as they are a little more complicated.

the stock 29cc is a great engine.

i would like to see a vid of that sand blaster with the 29cc:excited:

Will it be the CY GP29RC? 36mm bore with a 28mm stroke which is really 28.5cc? Or the CY29RC which has the 35mm bore and the 30mm stroke which is 28.9cc? Hope it will be the GP29RC as with a big bore and a stock stroke it will turn up faster and have better top end.
