I don't know but for physical size the 4200 are too large and the 3000 fit nice.
4200 would fit but then it limits room for receiver.
I am not certain but I think Nutech are working on the battery box for production.
Nutech are working on the radio box, mainly due to the fact it won't stay closed though, I doubt they will change the size. I find it accomodates an HPI 3000mAh battery, the receiver (even my slightly larger spektrum one) and the failsafe. You have to put it in the right way round, but when you do, it's quite spacious in there.
The Thunderbolt 2 does not come with any battery (4xAA battery holder supplied with transmitter, but not really intended to be actually used). The thunderbolt 1 had a 2000mAh hump style nimh pack as standard. This has been omitted on the TB2. Hardly surprising really, consider ing the other improvements, cost had to be cut somewhere, and I feel this was the right place to do it.

Ethan, people run 4200 and larger batteries. That green one is 1800 or 2000.
4200 won't fit in the case correctly. The lid to the case if it was taller maybe.

I have a 4200 in mine now. It's snug but it all fits.
I've never understood people's desire to run high capacity rx batteries. If you ask me they just take longer to charge. I've never needed more than the 3000mAh HPI battery for any of my large scales, and at 6A it charges in half an hour from flat. I have a 2800 in my FG, which has a tonegawa robotics servo in it, pulling 980oz-in of torque at 6v, and still found it to be above requirements.

I had to buy a new battery from http://www.promatchracing.com/ cause I did not have any other Rx batteries here like the baja ones..and their prices were the cheapest...So the baja type batteries do fit right? or I'am going to be stuck with a new hump pack:damn:

humpbacks fit with a struggle depanding on the size of your rx, not alot of room for rx,batt and killswitch. most of us are bolting fg rx boxes to the top of the nutech one for the rx and killswitch.

my battery came today it barely fit in there, I have the rx in there and I dremeled a hole out the side for the tamiya connector out the side so I can charge it..:punk: My failsafe is built into the rx and it works great just turn off the radio and it lock the brakes up..
