GT5-R VS FG COMPITITION
now these are the first proper good quality videos with cars set up great.

this is an acurate race between two gas compitition cars,both have stock 23cc engines,the nutech a cy23cc &fg having a zenoah with f1 filter.
both cars are set up perfect with new GRP ELLIGI STICKY RUBBER.both machines run a total of 6laps timed acurately with a digital timer on my own private track.
results are quite intresting...{dc2 man} )

SO this is the follow up to yesterdays nutech vs fg competition time trial races,and i have managed to shave even more times off yesterdays run.
im impressed.these videos are of better quality and a much better angle....

that was first run with a 23 and a vrc pipe. was really cold and I had to keep richening factory settings. never got over half throttle. It wanted to go... then the screw stripped out of the knuckle and I packed up

haha......

ill tell you,that is the place i intend on using as a track,it is huge,there is loads of potential for a track there.

the curbs arnt a problem if the driving is good LOL

believe it or not out of the hundreads of euros i have spent on petrol to run these cars here i never hit one there,just my carson c5 at the very start which was minor enough

its like anything you get used to the area and its great for practice,i think the more you can get used to a given area the better the fun and the faster you can go.

thing about onroad tracks is you may not get to use them much as in fairness time consuming,and when you get ther it takes the day to adjust car to suit conditions and get to know the track.........by the time you get there again you forget things lol

thats why i bought this place its great when you get to know it and it was awesome to test out the GT5-R here and my fg & carson models..

Well Dan I am joining the GT5R ranks... The Redcat is leaving tomorrow, though trading it for my FG VW back... I was going to just sell the Rally but I don't think his wife was agreeing too well to another 5th scale in the house (I had to help him sell some other rc's before he could take the seond one home or she'd have ripped him one) :)

It'll be a while before I see it here but I really like the bling and just can't resist. I had to postpone the mt to do it though. I have the tb2 coming anyway. I think if I combine this with my semi, I can make a really sweet ride for myself. I have the comp chassis on it but not the alloy arms. I dunno, just have to do it. it's cheaper to buy a whole nutech than to bling my semi the rest of the way LOL

man thats great news,i think you will love it.it comes out of the box gleaming....its actually a dead give away for the price,in fact its a bargain...

needs nothing at all just good servos & tyres.....nutech pretty much have all the bugs taken care of (which wasnt much in first place)

Mine will come with Vancouver Hobbies order, so in Feb early. I allready asked if I could get the other tires and wheels with mine. I had a set of those tires and wheels on another rc, an xrc or hobby pro, can't remember which, and the insert is really soft

I really like the looks... and it is the same parts as my semi mostly so it'll get nutech'ed as well hehe

mine's the one with wheel wells, marder chassis and undertray. it's on the kitchen table right now... I have to swap some electronics around. it's sunny outside and my bud is bugging me to get it done so we can go rip it up some. I'll have an FG on and of road, and a Nutech on and off road now... I got tired of waiting for parts for the redcat honestly. can't get them in north america.. over 8 weeks of emails with Himoto later... I traded it off and they emailed me about 10 mins later (I threatened to ebay it about 4 days ago lol). Nutech support before I have even owned one has sold me.

I'll take pics shortly. worked graveyard so having my java wake up juice now

I have 3 bikes... nitro, electric and dirt bike... I put the electric up for sale locally though... need more guys. almost every bike in the area was once mine.

I have my own business but it's seasonal. I am doing a security gig with a bud right now. doesn't pay a lot but it's steady income. I cut my hours back in spring so I can do my thing. I thought I was away from this security crap finally lol (shhh my license expired a year ago hehe) Detailing cars is like another hobby to me and I make decent money doing it... I have a Jaguar to polish as soon as it warms up (made up a gift certificate for someone to give as a present).

ya I raced this weekend with a blown fet... long story bad race for me... took the bikes out and beat on them I'll posy video when I wake up... finished the vw and it's ready to drive but pouring rain for the next week or so... I had an SF501 brushless. I buy them, tweak them and sell them locally. almost every bike here but one used to be mine. I even swapped a work day so I can make the next race. I posted vids in my welcome thread. one glitched out I guess when uploading. I'll get better vids next time... we should have more next time and I'll have some bigger lipos and all the weights back in the gyro. weights out is good for high bit but it was so loose along the edges it just gave out if you throttle too much

I can't wait to run the nitro bike. it's got everything I need but a steering stabilizer. I've had both lectric and nitro and though I am tired of nitro it just suits the bikes. I like the way it drives better, sounds like a real bike too. this nitro was spur of the moment. buddy saw it listed on craigslist and sent me a link. was new never run, missing a couple small things but I turfed them anyway. ordered tires and stuff from 2wheelhobbies.com and built it up, put a new battery in... now it sits waiting for weather... I'll build the elctric up next. it needs tires, brakes and such still. dirt bike still needs tweaking

the NF bikes are a work of art. mine was the race kit so had all the bling. only problem I see is less availability of parts. NF transitions left/right faster but the TTR is easier to drive. and ya I needed money so had to sell a couple things, as I was still just doing my own business then and it was spring and not much work. I took this part time steady gig and book appt's around my schedule, and life became toy world since haha

nah, no video. been busy with work, rain and we had furnace and water heater inspections going on. I am on the board here in our co op (VP) and we applied for a grant. we were given the grant to replace all our heaters and the gov't took it away. a few letters to mp's and such later, we are back to inspections, so looks like we might have it back. I was up waiting and crashed out in the afternoon, they showed up 4 hrs later lol... can't win trying to sleep during the day. I slept when I got home but I always wake up early if I do that. waiting for a brushless setup I just bought but he called and can't make it now for about 6 hrs so have to get some sleep before he arrives so I can finish my work tonight... I have 3 days off then to go play. my bud Rich is sending me messages on msn that he's bored and wants to run his baja

I have the hockey game taped so will probably just sit down and watch the game and put the gyro weights back in my bike. I need to test it in some loose soil. I got the ok to run in novice. We are starting 4 hrs earlier than last time so we'll get 3 rounds of qualifying. my lipo order will be here any day so I can just charge all my batteries before I go and only need to top the batteries for the ofna all night (got enough batteries for the bike to just use a different battery each round). hopefully by the mains I will have figured out how to drive it on a track

Ya indoor for winter is fun. it didn't snow like last year. I don't mind bashing in snow but it's monsoon season. puddles everywhere. last night at work the wind was blowing fierce. I parked my car between rounds beside an suv and saw branches flying all over.

I have to work tonight and now tomorrow. traded tomorrow for the 23rd off so I can race again. I can make the next 3 races. these little cars seem so small though lol. I go to have fun, don't care if I win. it's just something to do and a dry place to do it. $20 first class, $15 for second. $35 for a long day of fun is cheap entertainment and get to visit with a lot of guys... last race I was mentioned over the pa as the grandfather of electric racing. man I feel old hearing that haha. I got all the organizers into electrics going to their track and letting them pass my controller around... I let guys run my bike last race... I'll do the same with the Nutech's. It's like being a crak dealer. the first hit is free :D (I am a part time night watchman so have to deal with drug deals a lot)
