:DLater, later, video.
I prefer the GP290 CY engine for racing with the short stroke and the big bore. GP 28mm stroke with a 36mm bore and the CY 29 has a bore of 35mm and a stroke of 30mm. The CY has a more torque but the GP should have more top end and top RPM. Both are good engines.
What CY29 are you testing the one with the one piece head cylinder or the one with the separate head and cylinder?

Being a new importer for NuTech and just having ordered 3 test units with those CY 29CC engines I will see what hits me! Hopefully those Diffs will hold up or the engine will last 4 tanks. Nobody knows! Have been reading lots of good stuff about NuTech but less good stuff about the new CY 29 CC engines. From the forum I have discovered that people upgraded their engines but nobody has had the chance to get the full NEW CY 29CC engine supplied...
In Thailand we are the sole distributor of Team Losi and Spektrum remotes. The market is not very big but growing steadily with the 2010 world championships confirmed. However this is for the lower scale buggies and truggies.
Scale 1/5 is pretty new with the main competitor being HPI followed by the cheaper Chinese imports. We have been looking into the 1/5 scale a lot but never ever have we felt good enough as the Chinese market was flooding us with "shit" models! Having seen the reviews we have changed our minds.
Although no commitment from either side we are now awaiting the samples and putting them to the test!
Front cover write ups have been confirmed by our local magazines and we are really really looking forward making this a successful products thus eliminating the less competitive models from the market! Sorry, maybe that was a bit strong but importing the ARX 540 motorbikes wasn't a success simply cause the Italians weren't ready for full on competition for the Thai market!
The Thai market consists of people that can afford the full deal, just less of them. As the market is so closely watched by friends its make or brake. With Team Losi and Spektrum we had full support constantly as for the ARX540 bikes we did not.
I think enough said. Lets see them coming plus some cool VDO's from our track here in Thailand.
I have talked to many that run the CY29 like I said there are two versions. They all so make a GP290 which is a 29cc really a 28.5 but the CY 29 are really 28.9cc. Most have not had any problems since the changes in the plating and there is all ways those that could mess up an anvil with a rubber hammer. LOL Yes the older CY not only the 29 had problems mostly with the cylinder plating but CY has made changes in the last year or so and now this problem is rare. They are much more reliable. Now there might still be some of the old stock around but who knows.
I am on many RC forums some with over 20,000 post and talk to many as well as those at the races I go to.
Looking froward to you review on the cy29.

Chris or Ethan will know for sure. However they are on holiday as from Oct 1st due to the National Day of the People's Republic of China.
I happen to know as my orders are delayed due to those holidays.

Ray be assured Nutech is the best company I have dealt with from China:) I have dealt with most of the common Chinese clone manufacturers they all look good on the surface but the quality is so poor, but when it comes to factory support Nutech beats them all hands down:D When there has been a problem they have listen and improved and fixed rather than do nothing!
You will not be disappointed about Nutech products:D

Thank RC Innovations, due to your comments and from many others we have found trust in NuTech. So far they have been very very helpful. Looking forward getting the first order in and take it from there.

Good to hear that NuTech has made a good choice of engine.

here's a shocker....NMT doesn't really need a bigger engine:surprise: and yep never thought I'd hear myself say that about anything:going insane:...and to be perfectly honest after running hard today doesn't really need a pipe either...at gas jockeys track the stock setup was more than enough power and it's getting quicker as the motor loosens up...I kid you not

No shock to me Moo! I have found my TB2 goes alot quicker and is easier to control with my Zen 23cc in it, I think due to the chassis configuration and weight they don't need a big torque monster motor like people say a 4WD does!

I ordered that full mod 27.2 and pipe and now wish i'd have saved my 600bucks towards another truck...it boils the tires off with the 26...i'll try the 27.2 and pipe but really believe it'll be coming out and going on the shelf pretty quick...with the amount of power with Seans nuttiest motor it's going to be uncontrollable i think
maybe with the stock cy29 it be kinda manageable
I'll have some vid posted later after work and you can judge for yourself what it's like bone stock;)
