Thanks! Just placed my first order for a few kits to see how it goes. In thailand we are the sole distributor for Team Losi but always looking to expand! The reviews on the cy 29 cc scare me a bit but lets see how it goes. So far all has been good! We also import the arx bikes from italy and i can tell you the service from NuTech has been great sofar! We in thailand like to support new and good companies that are serious. Its a win win situation if all parties give there 100% input
CY has made big improvements on there engines in the past 8 months to a year or may be longer now. Their cylinder plating is MUCH BETTER. There are two types of CY29RC engines. One that has a separate head and cylinder and the one that is all one piece. The one with the separate head and cylinders where the ones that use to have the most problems.
Now I have read a LOT about large scale engines and I think a lot of the problems is people do not use the proper torque! I all so am building and porting 3 cy engines right now. From being a motorcycle mechanic for over 35 years I know the importance of proper torque. Not sure if the Nutech manuals has the torque values on the CY engines but I know some of the other companies do.
I have read MANY threads where people put a new top end or carburetor on and have all sorts of problems. They end up taking the engine back apart and say something is warped. I ask them if they used the proper torque value and every time they say no and did not even know there where any specifications for these engines.
