Has anyone had a chance to experiment with different shock and diff oils yet?
If so what seams to be a good combination to start with?
I would like to know this as well for when my TBII pro arrives. All so what sort of surface you run on as this will have a good bit to do with set up. If I had it right now I would start with 30 to 40 front shocks 15 to 25 rear shocks front diff 5K or 7k, middle 10k and rear 3K. What is others thoughts?

At the moment I am running F/Diff 100,000 center diff locked:D R/Diff started with grease then went to std 1:1 car gear oil EP75/90W, but now gonr to 4000wt diff oil will try that tomorrow.
Shocks std is 1000wt, tried Venom 500wt but changed to Venom 800wt all round, I still think is too soft. I tried 5000wt but was too heavy! will have to get some 2 & 3000wt oils and try them.
I am also using Outlaw RC front HD shock springs for Baja on the rear and I may try some ORC rear Baja springs in the front.

OK I am missing something here or is there different ways they measure weights of oils? Do you run silcion oil in your shocks or regular shock oil?

I use silicone oils, yes there is 3 different types of measuring weights or correctly the viscosity of oils, example 30wt 300wt 3000wt for shock oils then there is differential oils mostly sold in 1,000 increments. I am not sure if there is a difference between shock oils and diff oils if the same number!
I have been told and read on different forums that the viscosity of shock oils are the sample just add or subtract a '0' or '00's but I have found this is not true and they do differ from manufacturers.

Did you find that the 100,000 wt still wasn't thick enough in the center diff?
I have also done a bit of reserch on how they class the silicon oils and still don't understand how they come up with the numbers.

Yes I think the 100,000 wasn't enuff but in saying that I was use to driving my MCD Baja 1000 which has locked center diff. I have some 300,000 now and may try that back in the std diff, but since fitting the locked center I am happier with 50/50 power split.
btw, what is volume for one diff?
I mean how much i need oil for fill up diffs :)
