Here is the idea I came up with for the steering on my Thunderbolt 2.

First I bent the original steering linkage, so I decided to see if I could come up with something a little stronger.

After looking through my parts drawers, I came up with a FG steering rod and ends part # 6208-1 and # 6029. To raise the height on the servo saver i used a long ball end I had left over from my Smartech Titan. I don't know the number, maybe Chris could find out.

The steering link kit is available here http://www.fgsupply.com/Hurricane_C5_Titan-CNC_6061_Heavy_duty_Steering_link_kit.html .

Here's a short vid of the mod working. As soon as I get my rear a arm, I'm going out to run this set up to see how it works.

And yes I know I can't edit a vid for crap. :beat dead horse:

nice upgrade:good idea:, i'll have to see if i got an fg turnbuckle floating around...as for the steering link (ackerman arm in the parts manual) i know nutech have made a 7075 upgrade and not sure if i got it or not but haven't bent it yet...but gas jockeys bent pretty easy a couple of times but despite my saver reversing itself the link is dead straight so i think the factory may have fixed that problem...do like the fg/titan set up though...easy solution

I'm glad everyone likes it. I want to get it out and try it but my rear a arm is in customs so :dots:

If they keep holding me up I'll have to go to customs in Vancouver to get it :boxing:

couldn't find any fg parts in my drawer but the servo link off the rampage is the same length and has 4mm bolt holes:excited: I'll run the stock one also for now but at least i know i have something that'll work if needed

I don't think I'll get to go test any time soon. We just got a huge dump of snow and I have a 3 foot drift in my driveway!! :mad as hell:

Hopefully soon though.

I took out the TB2 the other day and it turns much better now. I had no issues with the steering also. :punk:
