I have been talking with Dino at Jet Pro. How many of you guys are interested in a made to fit (properly) pipe from Jet Pro. I think I may have found a car to send him, That way he can make something up. Post up your thoughts.

On or off road or both?? I would want silenced ones!

Right now it would be a TBII pipe. I have to come up with a car to send him so he can start building. Silenced is not a problem. The buggy and monster truck are probably going to be the most popular at first so it would make sense to get those out first. If he where to get this going you will be able to order them straight from Jet Pro.

Yes that would be great. We sell Jetpro pipes for most other brands so would love to be able to offer a Jetpro for Nutech owners.

I also agree. The more options that are out there for us...the users the more popular and fun the vehicles are going to be. :punk:

I like Jet Pro stuff. I am buying a buggy from Clayton and it's in the states. I could just get mine shipped to him then they can send it to me when I purchase a pipe lol. I offered to send ONB my semi so he could make me some stacks a while ago.
Just working out the deal so it might work out this way

That would work out great! Give Dino a call at !-800-4-JET-PRO.I am sure he would be down for that. I was actually going to get that one just so I could get it to Dino. This actually will work for me I was wanting to buy the on road for myself, but figured I would go ahead and get a buggy just so he could get some pipes in the works.

OK guys, I just got off the phone. I emailed Clayton Dino's shipping address. Now just a matter of me paying Clayton and him getting the info out... I'll have a couple pipes to show when it's all said and done.
and I am sending my semi down to him as well to make me some real stacks

Awesome stuff, this will help having an aftermarket pipe ready for when the cars hit USA! Not alot of difference between a TB2 and Mega MT in the main chassis, just need body for clearances! unless he makes a rear pipe which would then fit a MT as well

You guys will be very happy with what Dino comes up with for you. For you guys with 5B/Ts, he has some really cool stuff coming soon.

it's good to have pipe makers onboard...the vrc pro i got is a direct fit also...bit tight with the cy at the back but with the 4 bolt zen it's like it was made for the MT and slips straight on the manifold with lots of room...won't fit the tb2 though cos of the body..MT only I'm afraid...bet it won't be long before dom make one too. It's important to have available aftermarket pipes cos we all run them...that was and still is an issue with the ramp...all you can get is tumours that bolt to the side that look like this (ha...clubin inspired this one and I use it with the slightest excuse LOL I hope dino comes up with something prettier than his ramp pipe cos that's what made me post this before:no:

For what it's worth, every Jet Pro I have ever had has looked great and performed well. Tough too. My mt5 v2 got rolled over many times, destroyed a couple bodies but nothing ever happened to the pipe... pipe mount ya, lol
if Dino knew or had whatever to make it an mt, I am sure he could come up with more designs at the same time. what's the difference?

for the buggy it'll either have to be a rear or come out more to clear the body...if rear the it'll also fit MT if side it'll have to tuck in more to clear the body damned if you do and damned if you don't with the side pipes...my pipe is tucked way in and just clears the stock MT body by 1/4". The old titan cage was skinnier and the Jetpro Bentley has tucked in well but wont fit the new style cage.

Cancer, chrome slugs and tumours? Not exactly how I would go about thanking the 1 guy that is trying to make your driving experience better. Jet Pros have a unique look, and I personally like it.More than that the perform very well. His pipes are made to last and the have the best warrenty in the business and his customer service is over the top.

Don't get me wrong I have absolutely nothing against jetpros, have had a few and liked them all, great pipes that make good power, Dino also stands by his products...unfortunately..and i wasn't the first to call it ugly or refering to just the rampage jetpro....but it kinda was a bit ugly and the TGN is way worse but both perform real well.
Kudos to you and Dino for working on this, as I posted before it's great to have pipe makers on board cos it's an important thing for many buyers to have bolt on pipe options.

The great thing about getting any manufacturer to make something for a new car is that it will get others involved too. I.M.O. the Rampage was/is a money pit. The FS cars well they are junk. But Nutech really seems to be on top of their game as far as design goes.I think you guys will be seeing even more aftermarket support in the future from great companies. Pick up your phone, hit your keyboards and call/email these manufactures Let them know what you want from them. they are here for you.

I think for the buggy the rear pipe will be the only way to go with this style shell as a side pipe makes it to difficult to remove the shell. It will have to be mounted a long way out from the shell (to make it removable and stop it from warping and melting the shell)and will then be out in the middle of nowhere.

Dino said he'd make a couple different pipes right away to give guys options. I am going to call him again to talk once it is on it's way to him. Being it's holiday time anyway, I can't do much..
Hey now, I just bought another redcat LOL. Mine would be a money pit if I could get the parts to bling it but nobody wants to take my money and give me the needed alloy parts to fix the stripped plastic... so I am buying a Nutech then.
From what I understand this buggy could use a little back weight anyway, as I have checked vids and read comments about it being a little nose heavy. I nicely tucked in pipe in back like the cpi would probably work out good

New TB2 wider shell and option side guard are under tooling ,will come around FEB at Nurnberg toy fair.:good idea:

Barry my MT flies much better with the heavier cage I made...12oz heavier than the plastic one and the pipe is 9oz more than the can and all that's weight is behind the centre line...so extra 1lb 5oz further back and it's much better, made a big difference

It would be cool if the factory could step up , and get some cars/ trucks out to the aftermarket guys so they can get things going. The better the aftermarket support the more cars they will sell. I haven't bought a Nutech yet, but getting the pipes on the way gets me one step closer.

I will call Dino in the next couple days as he should have my buggy anytime now. I guess I should ask for a rear pipe for us buggy owners and a side pipe for the mt and wide shells? I have an mt ordered as well so wondering what you guys think.

Ok, one thing that I would absolutely require if JP is making a pipe is it has to be a 2 piece design. All the other JP pipes I have owned are one piece and make operating on my rig almost impossible with out removing the pipe. It also takes a lot of stress off the mounting points when it is a 2 peice design.
Any other thoughts?

After the time I spent on the phone with Dino, I think a one piece design is kind of his thing because it stops leaks and makes a tough pipe. I have mixed feelings on that one because I have flipped my mt5 v2 pipe onto the ground and no signs of damage.. I even shattered a body and all the mounts and not a scrape on the pipe. my vrc doesn't leak but I had to add gasket goo to my samba header coupling

with my doms and jetpros they always had issues with the manifold bolts loosening even after wiring them the pipes still managed to vibrate enough to compress the gasket and loosen up...neither of my 2 piece vrcs leak with the coupler they provide and the spring holds it together nicely and the bolts stay tight.
I'm totally with clubin here, 2 piece with a larger sleeve to slide over the manifold is the way to go...just dampens vibration and with a rubber mount cushion allows a little flex

Deffo need some sort of coupler or slip joint with O-rings for sealing. A solid mount pipe will always leak or vibrate loose or be damaged/bend from roll's etc

all the single piece pipe that I have used/ sold had problems with the bolts coming loose and leaking at the header. I also had one that ripped the threads out of the head. Have to admit that it was an impressive stack. Wasn't much it didn't break on the baja, will see if I can find the photos somewear (about 2 years ago)

ok, I will call him today. I am sending a letter down too for my contact info and will include this as well. I have 2 VRC's here so I understand. The coupler certainly makes the difference.

I should have some pics to show in the next couple days. Buggy just arrived at Dino's place and he's just had a chance to look it over this weekend. He will email me some pics to show what he has come up with. Said it will be easy as it's so close in layout to the Titan. Buggy will come up under the wing and the side pipe will suit the new buggy shell and mt's. I am not in a big rush, and told him to just do what he needed to do. The longer he has my buggy, the more optional pipes we all get to play with... I am busy with indoor racing right now anyway... then I send the Semi down when I get the GT5R
