Oh I'll be adding a vw to this buggy. I just need to have it here to look over first... run it as a buggy for now. The vw went to same friend that got my mt haha. we were just babbling on msn, I was thinking about 4wd... we tossed some numbers. It stays in the family so to speak so it's all good. My semi is my baby and the redcat will be fun once I can keep knuckles on. in the long run it will cost me less to sell the FG and get a Nutech and a pipe, than it would have cost to 4wd the FG. And I think the Nutech will outhandle (and from the videos) be less fixing. I've liked the design since I first saw the pics on LSF. I am impatient for stuff and impulsive too lol...

2 nights ago on amain hobbies site to buy parts to race my slash. it is adding up. bah, sold the roller cheap locally and ordered a new Ofna 4wd. ups delivered it yesterday.I ordered the duratrax dirt bike the moment they were available from tower so I could have the first one here hehe... yup ups 2 days later

and these guys really make stuff up and make available... you know I can't give away my money for rally bling... I am trying. Everything is pretty much done and ready. Need a new project that I can get parts for

26 is fine for me as long as I get a good pipe on it. Our on road group is growing good here. We should have some good sessions. We are also doing bikes. I have 2 of each so I can loan a car or bike when we are out. Some guys have one or the other...

tbh my fav toy right now is the duratrax dirt bike. what a hoot. I had to make a rear skid, on 3s lipo it almost backflips from a standing start haha. we are doing indoor electric off road in winter. jan 9th is first race for these bikes. it'll be a gong show

I have to keep an off road for business purposes ;) ... I detail a lot of those guys cars and bikes. and many of those guys are coming to on road. win win.

Hey I am still in touch with the original owner of Vancouver Hobbies hehe. Rob showed up at our annual meet and greet picnic this summer. My Semi was on the roof of my car and he saw it from the roadway. Bet he buys a Nutech when he sees them lol (I'll drive by his place when mine gets here)

Picking up that TB2 Clayton is selling here on the forum. I just emailed ONB to see if he wants me to ship it to him to get a pipe worked out

I have a vrc on my redcat rally with a cy23. I had to keep richening the mix it was cold but man the snap it had was impressive. I really like the vrc's, silenced.

Still running that old Solo on the semi. it screams. I laugh when people see it go, ask what's in there and I tell them an almost 10 yr old motor solo 2000. just added a custom cut samba 4. I can't go with a larger first gear if I wanted now hehe. but fits under the body

Thank you. It's a wonderful addiction. It's my third year in business. First year I sold that semi not completed for $250 because I had rent and building lease payments, sold all my rc toys. second year I sold everything to buy a redcat 5th for winter. this year I sold because I don't have room for much more so to get another 5th, one had to go

I have a 1/7 Hot Bodies. It's discontinued now but a lot of buggy parts fit. Bodies are hard to find, 2 speeds don't exist even anymore. It's only been run a few times. Handles like a dream too.

Just opened the Ofna Hyper 10SC box but saving that for boxing day. I have the day off and World Junior Hockey starts. I'll be glued to the tv and tinkering... bring my food on a tray please haha
http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn181/Pipeous/RC/Hot_Bodies_Street/DSCI0003.jpg

My FG VW had one of sickboy's fibreglass bodies. He makes the nicest bodies I have ever seen. I'll want another VW soon. I lost money selling but hey, it's not a living, it's a hobby. I truly love to build and tinker more than I do drive them nowadays

I'd love to have a 4 stroke bike someday. They don't take up much room either hehe

once the tires warm up on that semi, it drives awesome. I have yet to see a car locally I can't compete with, let alone pass hehe. It drives those guys crazy. Everyone figures top heavy etc but it's stuck. I do get up on 2 wheels on tight corners though. http://www.vimeo.com/4027870 that was a while back. still had a worn dif and layshaft gear making it noisy. This is a spot down the hill from me. The truck owners love my semi and have never complained about me running there. You can see we used sidewalk chalk to mark out a track and that was cool by them. I have a couple vids here and even tested an in truck camera setup (mounted a mini tripod to my shock tower so digi cam was looking out the windshield) http://www.vimeo.com/3841561

Redcat's gone, FG VW is back... I just need a BEC for my 3s lipo and it's ready to rumble. It has a Firehammer MT gas tank and the arms are FHMT as well (wider track). fair bit gas been done. this is a different paint job than I had... it's a fibreglass shell so I can sand and change it anytime I want. The yellow is mesh tape to repair the cracked under tray. I'll use automotive goop, it's black, to finish it off.

Sounds good Lee... Give me a bit, just bought 2 Nutech's (Scott is waiting for money too hehe it's payday waiting for word when I can pick it up.. friday is technically payday but the boss is cool), an ofna, the bike, yesterday a swack of lipos and another charger.. I want a buggy body for my nutech anyway. maybe we can work something out for the parts as well.

The tray is the plastic one. he nose dived and broke it. I just did some self adhesive drywall mesh tape. need payday to hit the store for automotive black goop to finish it. body needed some gouge repair so he painted it white and pinstriped it.. I have quite a few colors to play with and more clear so if I want to change it later... I eventually want original size fg arms. I have fg dogbones.

Welcome to the forum Pipeous. I also picked up a DX450, I couldn’t resist, how do you like yours so far? My local hobby shop had one of those HPI quad riders on clearance so I picked him up, he fits the bike perfect and he looks much better than the stock rider.

it'll be next week before I can run it. I just can't spend any more money on rc stuff than I allready committed to. overextended allready and looking around at what I should sell lol

I'll get some video. semi should be able to get a run today I hope, though I hear a bit of rain outside... that time of year.

looks like my hot bodies is gone now... I buy my meat from a guy that supplies higher end resteraunts. the steaks are to die for... he was over today and wants an rc. so trading it for a freezer load of goodies. gets another bud out with us and I will save a ton on what I buy allready. got a big slab of bacon and pigged out today... jumbo prawns.. hmm I better go cook something 3 am prawn feast? oh ya baby

it's winter. the off road tracks have been levelled for reconstruction so not much I can do for a month or 2 other than bash. not much of a basher. I hate running alone, rc is a social thing for me, why I sold my helis. I can wait, racing tomorrow. I changed work sites so I can get weekends off to indoor race. worked every weekend since may this year... but then I have more toys than last year so it paid off ;) (and the credit card limit was raised another $1500 recently LOL they like me)

haha I am the king of goop.

canadian tire sells it. there is regular clear, plumber's which is clear and more flexible, and black automotive which hardens most

Here's a friend trying the bike first time... in loose soil I learned you need the gyro weights. it's tough when you get in the loose stuff. He did get one good jump with some air and a double flip... he ended up at the end into the cloth wall

http://www.vimeo.com/8647527

I ran a bit after the second round but I was in fear of hitting kids and trying to saty away and making more mistakes... finally gave up. The red one is my bud... only 2 guys brought them so we just went out and tried to not hit the track maintenance people.
I was having fun outside the track and in the lot and grass but it was pretty dark. both of us were sitting at the same table, and when all was said and done, both our receivers came apart... glue that case together... mine nothing happened luckily. gord's won't fully arm anymore so something blew, pc board probably shorted on the frame.

I was asked to test a new cnc gyro. with all the weights it's as light as the stock one with weights removed. I was thinking that will be cool for high bite. but I am putting my gyro weights back in... I asked if I could run it in novice lol. I'll just be trying to make jumps and niot get hit or hit a corner marshall mostly... it was really a challenge though. track felt really tight and as soon as you hit the loose stuff it was sliding out. I was told I might want more gyro weights in loose and I think they are right... doing that today, and fixing the loose rx case. I have some bigger lipos coming. when I did the grass vid it was with a big 2s. I almost wonder if some battery weight helped stability too...
