Looks like I am now:punk:...ran it past the wife and she gave the nod:dance: so just need to arrange the flights
I'll be firing myself at work for a week beginning of Feb so will go see my mum and a couple of old buddies in UK and hop on a flight to Germany for the opening day...whoo hoo
If anyone else can make it I'll be hanging around the nutech stand...where else...
I know Chris is going and there's going to be something special there:top secret:

I would love to go but the trip would cost around $5000 AUD and with all the hot new Nutech cars and parts coming out that money would be better invested in stocking up for the Aus market.
If you are going have fun maybe next year for me.

Well at last i fond a hotel that would let me check in at 1:00 am.
Most of the hotels would not let me check in after 11:00 pm but i was persistent and found one,its only going to cost me €42.00 a night including breakfast, and 37 clicks away from the fair,
so me and my biz partner David will be able to get a good night sleep,
fit and ready for the toy fair :yahoo::punk:

Hi all well as you know we went to the toy fair to meet up with Chris & Ben also to see up close the XT-5, an the RALLY.
We didnt have to much time to take pictures as we were talking to Chris and Ben was dealing with other customers, it was unbelievably busy when we arrived we also bumped in to Oliver (RC modelismo)
And we thought it would be nice to put a face to a name,so here's Chris on the left and Ben on the right.
Sorry that there were not any more pictures but i know mooman will have more than this

Ok here's a few XT5 pics, truck is a prototype of the concept so needs 20 or so things changing before it's ready to test, it will be about an inch wider on each side as it's too narrow right now, centre diff mounts (got a spool in at the moment) will be modded and engine may be repositioned slightly to allow exhaust header to clear.
Truck currently weighs 14.5 KG so near 32lb. Chris said around May the first test trucks should be ready.

BUT...i hope nutech have done away with the stockish type dog bones and diff cups for 2010 as the stock ones arent up to much in any make/model
i should know i have replaced enough of them LOL
also what type of screws are on it?
any type of wheel/rim reinforcment? or are they reliant on the axle squares similar to fg~?

the off road diffs are totally different to the onroad ones which are based on the fg setup,
the XT will have cvd's eventually but the diffs are same as the tb2 and MT which haven't had a problem with strength or durability...the cups in all models are to be changed with harder material to stop slot wear once a better vendor is found...I've been testing the 2nd gen manganese type but have to put a few more tanks on them yet to see how they hold up. The truck at the show is just the first concept even though it has been run...
it'll be sold at first as a pro all alloy version so the screws will be hex head...there are quite a few mods to be done to this yet so what you see now and in a couple of months will be different in certain places.
I've never rounded out an FG square yet and have had countless different wheels/tire combos...probably jinxed myself now
dc2 man
02-13-2010, 10:52 PM
cheers for info moo
you see moo you dont run aloyed "heavy" ones much in your own words,im not saying you dont have an alloy 1/5th model or never run one but you usually use plastic ones and prefer them dont you?
see its the weight of the alloyed versions is the thing,my fg never rounded out wheel rims until it got heavy,so all nutech new alloyed monsters have the extra poundage.
something just to watch.
the wheel adaptors i use are from elcon and are bloody awesome, you can even use old rounded out rims.....
just a lock nut then and dont even have to be very tight and away you go
p.s dont get me wrong there was nothing wrong with nutechs stock dogbone and axle set up,me myself would just rather to see ball drive set up on these.. imo
the older set up is now dated on any model as the balldrive is a "step up" upgrade for a long time on all models.

Hi all,
I want to share with you guys a funny thing that happened in Nurnberg.
The last two days we were in Nurnberg toys fair, I have time to go to visit some RC model maker in Hall 7, when I walk to the MCD's booth, i stand out side MCD booth, not more than 5 seconds and a MCD staff come to use his hand to block their products, and i leave.
The second day MCD Europe guy come to our booth and watch our tb2, i ask if he is from MCD, and that gentleman ask if i know mcd, i told them yse. and I ask them to exchange name cards and give him a free Nutech catalog and let him watch our cars ,then he touch TB2's shocks and tires for more than 20 minutes.
If they don't want to show their products, then they would be better not attend the toys fair!

thats a strange attitude...
so he was impressed with nutechs alloy, obviously they dont like showing other manufactures there products as they may feel there designs may be takin.
a little bit silly i think lol
i think the drivetrain system is already similar between nutech and mcd :D

Dear Mr. 2 ,
Mcd rr4 is taking some of TB2 designs, I don't know what designs people will take from MCD, just know MCD they afraid of that people will know how bad are MCD quality so they hide their product and don't want to let me have a look!
MCD use very poor quality of plastic, i think they touch TB2 for more than 20 minutes is want to know what material that Nutech using. LOL
