yes moo....correct!

chris thats what this thread is about, you were saying that the car is now in production so maybe would i be better off waiting on the revised model??

Moo could you please list all the updates from the test model now that the mega MT is in full production?

I would prefer black wheels and a clear shell with it when I order one (might order the fuego but am unsure)

roccos here's what was done

front knuckle to c-hub retaining screws totally redesigned...real nice mod

batt box now has oring and 4 screws to make water tight

diff housings stronger plastic and much bigger steel insert

steering servo link raised on one side with addition of a nut to stop it rubbing on the front driveshaft

foam pad under fuel tank and oring spacers to raise tank away from chassis and side guard screws

conical spring in front diff cup to keep dogbone correctly spaced

stronger front shock tower

upgraded steering link screws/hardware now higher grade

think that's it...nutech covered everything we found needed attention...as you can see most was real minor stuff though batt box and diff housings and the hub screw setup needed totally redesign and tooling...they've done a stella job i think

Wow that's really great. Definately gonna pull the trigger on one of these. The only small thing is i think it needs a front bumper, it looks a bit strange without one, I think the titan/hurricane front bumper is a direct bolt on? Now just need a pipe to go with the ESP 30.5 and Laut i'm going to steal from the redcat for this thing...

Mike or pwaicon should be able to tell us if the titan bumper is a bolt on...they both have tb2 and titans, jetpro will soon have a pipe and the vrc will help you het a few more revs outta the 30.5. Try a pipe on the 26 first you might surprised how quick it is with the stock motor

Yes the Titan bumper is a direct bolt on, all you need is the bracket at the top that screws to the diff. and screw the bumper to the bracket and the chassis.

Exactly, FG supply is out of stock and so is LSRC! I was going to order one today to give me incentive to get started on my new project! :)

the ramp one can be made to fit...just have to make a bracket to mount the arms to...I'll work on it in next couple of evenings...back to work tomorrow so only night tinkering for now..

Just checking with Smartech their bumper, i think we can keep some SMT parts in our stock later.:good idea:

You might want to shoot FG Supply an email or give them a call and see if they have the alloy version of the front bumper brace http://www.fgsupply.com/Hurricane_C5_Titan-CNC_Alloy_front_bumper_brace_1pce.html. As for the bumper you can always get the Firehammer MT bumper from Tower, it is the same bumper. http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXPMP6&P=7

I try.:) Here is a tip if you go with the Titan bumper, the post from the bumper that attach to the bumper brace are no solid so they have a tendency to bend on hard impacts. What I do is slip a metal tube over them this will help them from bending as the metal is much stiffer than the plastic.

Wow thanks for all the tips, so to add the bumper, I need more than just the bumper I need the supports for it or does it come with these?

pwaicon
01-06-2010, 08:19 PM
Unfortunately the bumper does not come with the bumper brace; you will need to buy both the bumper and the bumper brace separately.

Thanks pwaicon; I checked tower looking for the brace but couldn't find it.

I just checked fgsupply and now the bumper is in stock; so all I need is the bumper and the support as per pwaicon's links. Thanks!

Sorry to send you on a wild goose chase, I should have told you Towers wouldn’t have the bumper brace. The bumper brace is only needed to attach the bumper to the Titan or the Nutech not the Firehammer MT and Tower only sells parts for the Firehammer.

No apology necessary! Without your advice i'd be up **** creek! LOL! Do they make the brace in plastic pwaicon? Do you have an fg supply link for it? I can't find it in plastic anywhere.

Yep, they make it in plastic but the two places I know that carry them do not have them in stock, at least that's what there site says. I would probably shoot them an email to make sure.
