Hi,
The TB2 pro race buggy version is not available here at present so I am looking to find out what upgrades you would recommend for the standard Thunderbolt II.
I want the car to be at national level without changing all the unnecessary parts just those that will benefit the cars durability and handling under racing conditions.
Thanks for your input in advance.

Sorry about the double post but after reading the replies within Advice please, and with no disrespect to anyone within that thread I was hoping to gather more in-depth advice on this without robbing someone else’s thread.
In my experience of racing R/C cars at smaller scales sometimes adding stiffer parts can affect handling and this is the type of info I am after. This way I get the car right for racing and not bashing.
I say bashing as reading lots of threads on other large scale forums there is lots of talk about bashing and the bling factor.LOL
I am also interested in finding out about any modifications anyone has made to benefit the buggy under race conditions i.e. steering mod’s or clutch modifications etc. I ask this as with some other cars on the market there are aftermarket parts available like the Oddified parts and some racers have modified or made parts to benefit there buggies.
I am totally new to 1/5th scale therefore I am trying to gain all the information I can before the racing season gets underway here. After all you can never have too much knowledge if you want to gain the upper hand over your fellow competitors.
I am looking forward to 1/5th scale off-road and the new racing season and feel I have picked the right buggy for the job after looking at the Nutech website and reading various threads on forums.

Thanks for your help.

From where are you? UK ? Maybe one day we 'll do as Ian Oddie with our parts...I would like to have his fingers!!
Last year i ran at national level with tb1 : you have to change engine mount 59611, clutch bell holder 59612 , steering servo saver set 57621, diff gear box 59613; Sure.
After, maybe front shock tower 57603 because original one twisted..
