I was reading a post by zerogravity Scott on RCU about these keychain cams he bought on e-bay, he posted some video and I though they took pretty good video for a camera that only cost $15. So I went ahead and bought a couple myself lol! Only took a week to arrive from China and surprisingly they do work really well. Came with a USB cord, driver cd and 4gb micro memory card with adapter! I bought them with the intention of mounting on board the RC, my install is a bit bush league but I think it may work. Going to test them out this weekend so I'll let you guys know how they work or how they got smashed LOL!

I do onboard video and have had some great results this was one I did last year on the hyper 9 buggy.

Some cams are affected by engine noise etc; therefore I invested in the video cam that is used for the onboard motocross action videos expensive but a great little video camera that can also take multi shot stills.

That's pretty neat Scott. I can't wait to see how it works out for you.

:-) looks good Scott, that camera mount should work for you cant wait to see how it turns out, as soon as things start to melt around here I have made a mount on the bottom of my brother raptor 450 electric heli so he can chase me down with that should make for some good footage. I orignaly bought these little cameras for mounting on our RC helicopters for flying around and getting some good aerial footage but turns out I have a lot of different uses for it now lol, for $15 a piece I took 2 of them out of the black cases so they are lighter and smaller easier to mount on my helicopters for some footage.
P.S your doing pretty good I didnt even get the micro SD card I just bought a 8G from best buy lol I have a $50 micro card in a $15 camera haha I love it, you should get about 2 hours of record time with the stock battery.
Thank You,
Scott

Sweet the ones I purchased were free shipping the total per camera was $15 so I bought 5 of them as they took almost a month to get but I also ordered about a week before Christmas so there was some holiday delay there.
Mine came with just the USB cord, my brothers came with the manual and USB cord but his USB cords were only about an 1 1/2"s long, mine were about 8" long so sounds like these come a few different ways but the most important thing to watch for is the resolution 720x480 30fps I have seen some that are only 600x480 resolution

Thanks for that Scott but i was i bit to hasty in buying one, but not to worry as it turns out i have the one with 720x480 30fps,all in shipped to me for $15,24 so im happy chappy to LOL
so its obvious that sell is making his profit on the shipping,
I've sen them go for $15.99 all in.

Mine were 14.99 each and 12.99 shipping, but I got the ones with the 4gb card. I priced the cards alone so this was the best all round deal to get the complete ready to use package. This was the vendor , huaqiangbei-shop

The only thing that I dont like about mine is the date and time, when the battery goes dead from sitting around the date and time stop, the only way from what I have read to fix it is to remove all the folders on the SD card while its hooked upt to your PC and creat a word doc (I used notepad) with a certain format of the date and time, save it to your desktop and move the word doc file to your cameras SD card and unplug the camera, shut it off and restart it, I have gotten the date and time to change but it doesnt seem to stay so technically I would have to do it everyday lol, not so much of a big deal to me for the important stuff I have a good camera but other than that I certainly dont have any complaints for $15 lol.
I plan on mounting it in the fairing of my motorcycle this summer for when we go back and hit the twisites and hooligan it up :-), they seem to cut the wind noise pretty good and if its still to loud a simple little trick is to tape a cotton ball over the mic that cuts down on the wind noise.
P.S we should be seeing more videos posted now the average person can start taping there RC runs without always having a camera man around.

Scott

Sure do I use it everytime I run my RC now :-) you never know when something is going to happen hahah, here are 2 videos I just did some quick editing the quality is better before I uploaded it to youtube it was a 92meg file, once I upload it to youtube they shrink the file down for faster loading times down to 20 - 30 megs a piece but all in all I am quite happy with the cameras for the price :omg: LOLl.
