This cage really strenghed up the whole chassis. I can't wait to finish all of the work to it so I can go run it!! :party time:

I was quite surprised by how light it is. I didn't weigh it, but I'm sure when Moo makes more of them he can for us. :party time:

Mike,
how about FG tires on TB2? better performance?
Chris/Moo: This product to option parts list? :)
(ofcourse, add more space for spark plug (iridium plug is taller than stock)

I saw Moo's cage up close last weekend, it's strong as hell and I'm lucky enough to be next on the build list :punk: I'm pretty sure it saved his truck from alot more damage when he hit the boulder at wot!:)

Looks the bees knees:punk:
would be even stronger with 2 the bars over the spark plug don't you think,
and like jesi said you could also make an option for the higher plug

Thanks guys, I really like how it strenghened up the entire chassis. I'm sure Moo could increse the hight of the sparkplug area if requested.
Chris, I haven't had a chance to run it yet with the FG wheels, I'll let you know when I do.

glad you like it Mike.
i can make the spark plug guard any height you want and put 2 on if wanted but not really necessary for any more strength.
i'm with gas jockey...i reckon without the cage the whole front end of my truck would have folded when I hit that rock wot..everything is still dead straight and true.
i plan on building a jig after the next one (gas jockey's) so I can make these quicker and all the same, then I can build a few in one go...will be based more closely on the plastic cage but with more bracing.

I like this Mod as this could also work great on high grip tracks, as this would stiffen the buggy’s chassis right up.
Also by keeping the standard cage this would also give you a tuning aid for low grip tracks allowing some flex back into the chassis.
How much will they cost as I may well order one as most the tracks in the UK are high grip astro tracks.

I'll be starting work on the next one here pretty quick, biggest problem is I have to bench my truck while I'm building them at the minute...ideally i need a spare chassis and diff cases/towers which I'll grab when the first shipments are sent out end of the month
I'm hoping once I get easier production method sorted to sell them in the $175-200 range...at the moment one offs are $250+ just cos of the time it takes.
best thing if you definitely want one is pm me and I'll write down names in the order I receive them
