It would depend...Are you looking for more revs (26cc) or more torque(29cc)?

i supose it depends on gearing lower gearing to run with higher rpm and higher gearing to run with more torque....im only doing general bashing..and a few laps on a track....

I know the gears can be swapped around to help. But...As you see in Mooman007UK's vid, too much power can have a bad result. :surprise:
I'm happy with the 26 in my TB2.

I've tried the standard 23cc and an Evo Tuning Fully Tuned 26cc with Jetpro
23cc is ok for top end, but not enough low/ mid range grunt.
The Evo is great for bashing, maybe too much for the track though. I'm thinking a standard 26cc head with a good pipe and clutch is the way to go.

ya with the jet pro and I richened the needles the buggy allready wanted to jump up and go. I will test it out with the silencer on and off. It sounds so sweet though. I ran it outside on the curb and blurped the throttle and it had a nice dirt bike ring to it but not loud. I drove the semi with the samba around and it's just not the same at all.
the 26cc on my vw I picked up the headkit for dirt cheap. it was a 23. just find some silly baja owner that changes to a 29cc from new. I paid 15 or 20 bucks for this set. they didn't think it would be enough right away. all those guys upgraded right away. and I converted 2 23's to 26's. the fh mt does wheelies, vw is geared like the semi (44 spur instead of a 46) and is fine. if you need more snap off the line, just add a heavier clutch spring. you'' like having the revs for top anyway, and fuel economy is good too...
if you want a little more you can buy a ported headkit pretty cheap

I'd have to say 26cc is ideal for the tb2 and MT.. cos these are so light they don't need the the torque of a 28.5 or 30.5....so 26 with a pipe is perfect...if you want a little more revs maybe a ported 26 with lightened piston and ceramics.
i've over motored mine with the 27.2 full mod....hits the power real early and just boils the tires and goes into self steer mode:no:

I would try a 26cc and a tuned pipe or a 28.5 if ya think ya need a little more power.
