Spares in the UK,
Just to let you all know CML distribution in the UK have plenty of spares in stock.
If you are struggling to get your hands on any parts from your local model shop then please use shopatron.
(direct link; http://www.shopatron.com/home/index/745.0 )
How shopatron works,
Once you have placed an order the model shops are given time to fill that order, if however there is no reply within a set period then the parts will be sent direct from CML.

I tried shopatron yesterday and what a load of bollox it is!
I ordered a C-Hub screw set item FTX 7528 for £3.50 including postage,
I got an email today saying I have to pay another £3.00 and the parts will be sent in 3 to 4 weeks.
I got an option to pay the extra or cancel the order (I cancelled)
I then phoned CML and they are trying to find the screws for me.
This is not on, we buy expensive RC cars and there is no spares back up!
Not much fun having you're new car sitting each weekend waiting for parts.

I have to agre I'm getting hacked off with the parts situation, it's all very well saying CML have got loads of spares, but you try getting the buggers!! I waited 6 weeks once for a shell through shop-a-tron. wors than that CML don't even stock the parts that I want, i.e. 3 degree rear tow block.
We need a decent UK importer - CML are being far to caucious about what they are buying from NUTECH

What I mean is, the rear inner hingepin brace at the rear of the car (CNC part) is drilled differently to give 3 degrees rear tow-in.
I'm also after MT wishbones and driveshafts front and rear.
can you help with any of this?

It's real nice of you dealers round the world to offer you're services but we need a distributor here in the UK, we want our spares delivered in 24 hours not 2 to 4 weeks!

Right lets put this right.
Shopatron is not a shop this is a way to ensure the racers get there parts but they have a period of grace that is given to the model shops to allow them to fill the orders first.
After all if distributors sold direct to the public there would be no need for your local model shops at all.
CML distribution has the spares, but most model shops have not ordered any in so there not on the shelves at every model shop this is why there seems the shortage of spares.
Every thing that is listed as available on the shopatron site is at CML ready for distribution to the customers.

If you used shopatron as you say then it would be;
FTX 7528 £3.60 + postage and package at £1.90
Total £5.50 delivered to the door.

Last thing I want to do is step on anyone's toes, sounded to me like you fellows couldn't get parts in the UK yet so I only offered to get you by till your shops stocked up. It's not my place to sell into another market anyway. Sorry for the confusion :)

UK market is a bit of a hodge podge at the minute but it'll be sorted here pretty quick I reckon with a proper nutech distributer, looks like there is a fair bit of interest in the UK judging by the amount of UK traders that stopped at the nutech stand to inquire at Nuremberg while I was there but at present I don't think there is a nuey dist or dealer over there so nobodies toes will be stepped on if someone orders from a dealer this side of the pond

Not true! CML don't have the C Hub screw sets and didn't even know about the plastic side guards.

Yeah, in 3-4 weeks!, this thread is about the problems getting parts in the UK, I don't care how much they cost, we don't want to wait 4 weeks to get a screw set!
Wes at CML said he would try locate a screw set but I'm still waiting to hear back.

Things will improve in the UK, whilst I believe shops that sell a car should stock basic spares from day 1, I understand why they don't.
I just spoke with Modelsport (who I got mine from) and they've sold over 10 already, which for the short time it's been out in the UK is good, as they're selling well spares backup will improve.
Don't help us now though. :damn:

Following the C hub screws not being available in the UK I emailed CML asking where to get them, Wes at CML said he would find some and get back to me.
Wes found some screw sets and has sent them to me, Wes also said he is aware of the spares situation and CML are sorting this now.

Thats good but, what about the stuff CML have no intention of stocking? Like the MT wishbones and this 3degree rear tow block?
What would be really usefull is if somebody started selling the parts on ebay with worldwide shipping.

Gordy,
I along with all the other Nutech dealers( I am sure) would be glad to help you UK guys out if you are having an issue on a non stock part in the UK. It would be faster for you guys if you got a hold of the European dealers. But if all else fails I or Vancouver hobbies would be glad to get them. Also if we ( the dealers ) realize that there is a high demand part we will start stocking more of them on hand. Nutech and most all the dealers are relatively new and still trying to bring the best service to the customers with out breaking there own bank in the process. just as Chris stated up above CML orders parts with every vehicle purchased as do I, as the Nutech name grows bigger and bigger you will start to see more LHSs' wanting to carry the parts as well. All of us Nutech dealers and owners are in on the ground floor of a growing company( with some growing pains) but will be well worth it soon enough.

Glad you got it sorted. This is the main reason why I've slowed down with the Nutech. It's a catch 22. LHS's just aren't gonna stock spares and use funds for inventory when they have much more popular models like Hpi's Baja range - and buyer's aren't gonna commit to a model if there isn't support structure. Damn shame - it the reason why I'm still running the 5b and t. i KNOW the nutech's run and handle a damn sight better, but I know I won't be waiting weeks when a part goes south.
As for out of UK distributors? God bless em! - lol! Save the bacon time and time again - I'm more than happy spending my money abroad if it means I get the parts and support I need.

CML will have every part for the punisher in stock pretty quick here so i've heard..as more and more people get these and see how good they are they'll become more popular and i'm sure a nutech distributer will surface over there
