waterproof charger connection

Is there a way to put the batterypack and the receiver in the radiobox, close the lid , now with 4 screws, and make a connection to charge the battery outside the radiobox?
That should be something which is waterproof, any suggestions?
That way I ..never.. have to open the radiobox again.

Is this something that would work?

or is this only waterproof when both terminals are connected?

I do that very thing. I leave a charge jack out. or run a deans plug outside the box and eliminate the switch altogether

just cut a hole in the box and put the lead through and cover with small balloon...
