had some bad luck with front arms of late:damn: what with rocks and things, so decided to strap them up where they tear off the pin with some 1mm 4130 plate...not that the arms are what I'd call weak..they bend the pin when they rip off and getting it straight requires alot of force with a hammer and vice:beat dead horse:, ...i just wanted a bit of extra mooproofing and i've no spare arms left

I remember monotheist did that to his mcd rr, this is why we said the lower pins should be thicker just like on the fg cars, also other largescale cars have thicker pins at these points,then this way you will only lose a lower arm and not a the pins as well .

Nice mod moo :), the only thing is that on smaller scale stuff when you beef something up like that, it usually transfers the breaking energy to a different part on the car. I have seen some nasty energy transfers to the guys who break a lot of A arms and modded them I even seen twisted/stripped chassis' because after all the modding LOL the chassis was the weak point.

yep you're right...spanked into my brother in laws truck wheel just now and pulled the lower chub screw and collar clean through the bottom of the hub...i'll post pic shortly...want to go and thrash it now
