got bored today so i went to the work shop for a tinker . i know you can buy the side rails but i have made my own from 4mm polycarbonate and also added side fixings for the body shell FG style. all in all the mod should help keep loads of muck out and stop the shell from flapping so much.....

the left and right are different sizes so you should make up a template useing card then mod the template for the opposite side

Doing a mod like this or like the FG leopard side pods will open up all sorts of possibilities for a side pipe, battery pack on the other side, personal transponder ect.
Nice job.

This is what I mean, the side pods just give you so much more room to play with.
Mike
p.s I know it's not a nutech car but you get the idea

Nice Contrast Mike. You still have it?

Nah, that was the first new gen contrast feugo to come into the UK, I race it maybe 3 times then gave up and sold every bit of RC stuff I had (nothing to do with the car or Contrast brand), I wish I'd have given it more of a chance to be honest because it was a bloody good car.
I'm looking at the plastic TB2 or FTX punisher as it's called here, with a few subtle changes & mods. Having only looked at photos I can already see a few things I would change for racing.

I have heard lots of good things about those Contrast vehicles. But I have made errors in judgement like that also. ;) I look forward to seeing what you do to your Nutech when you get one, to get it ready for racing. :excited:

If things go to plan, most of this season will be testing/pushing the car (I'm looking at the plastic version) to see if anything needs changing. Next year will be dedicated to racing.
