clean pull starter

I had my first real good bash today,

I ran 2 full petrol tanks.

However, now I have to clean all the dirt and was wondering how you can clean the pull starter.

And can I clean the engine from dirt with water?

If this seems a stupid question,... i'm just a newbie..

To clean the pull starter, dismantle it if it is that bad clean it up and re assemble it. I would discourage you rfom using water to clean the model, none of the bearings are rubber shielded. Just blow it off with compressed air.
