Hello,
I bought an upgrade air filter.
Can anybody tell me how to remove the original black airfilter housing? I tried to pull the black lip, but was afraid it would break.
help welcome.
thanks.

I installed a HPI filter, and made this aluminum cross brace. Which filter are you trying to install?

Could you just remove the one cross brace? Lots of guys have to run the HPI filter.

if you use an hpi filter you can get a phatdad shreadhead angled Vstack that clears the cage cross piece

I pulled the standard airfilter real hard, and indeed, it did come off.
I replaced it by this one
