Today I went to the beach to have some serious fun. And fun we had... Even my wife enjoyed driving the TBII on a long streched beach.
Had some nice uphill driving in the loose sand towards the boardwalk.
People enjoying the fresh air stopped to watch, and nobody complained about the noise.... Sometimes you get lucky...
After more than one hour driving, my car stopped, the engine was able to rev, but did not move an inch.
I thought the gears had gone bad ore something, but it seemed the rear upper arm had come loose (with locking nut!!) and the dogbone had come out and the wheel was hanging on the lower arm.
A quick fix was made and we were rolling again.
Eventually after some heavy rolls, the steering stopped. It turned out to be the steering arm (with the spring) broke. (the nut above the spring was fully loosened before driving, minimal retention)
So I will order the CNC one and hopefully have a go next week.
Any suggestions on which parts to replace? I will order a part for 39 Euros and 15 euros for transport.... It would be "cheaper" to order some more spares at the same time.
