View Full Version : 4 months and I'm ready! But no MM in sight

It's been a long 4 month's wait - I've even tried NOT to get on here to avoid updates while I got a bit of cash together. Tried to avert my attention to my Baja's but no,... a Mega Monster is required!

I had initial success when I found out the FTX Punisher was TB2 rebadged here in the UK and got in touch will CML the UK distributors for FTX brand but no definitive news on the MM.

So which way should I go? Import from out the UK and get taxed to death (we pay extreme prices here already when it comes to the hobby- er and everything else!). It's great to see the FTX at MMR - a Uk specialist that is top grade - but no sign of the MM there so far.

Alternative is to get a TB2 / Punisher and look at the MM later. Trouble is I'll be kicking myself later too.

Can I buy direct from Nutech? Damn, wished the UK side had moved ona bit more.

Any ideas?

I spoke to them last week (CML) and they said it will probably be 2 months before the mm is available here. So looks like the punisher for me 'cause I can't wait that long :)

You'd have to weigh up exchange rate, brown's tax to death amount and shipping compared to FTX + wider arms and bones, shocks and tower and wheels you'd need to convert to MT...or wait the 2 months
or to help out a fellow limey in the UK i could pick one up from Van hobbies who are near me, not being in business so not having to be honest to mr customs:top secret: I can send it as a personal gift with a value of $100 and hope it gets thru uninspected...i just dob a printout of one of those $100 ebay 1/5 plastic cars on it and tape a birthday card to it:good idea:..only thing is insurance would only be up to $100 but you'd get signed for delivery so could keep track of it...

Moo - mate, what can I say? You are a Star!

Rounding up on a few enquiries I made yesterday but it's great to know you can do me that huge favour. Might have to delay the purchase as I've just spent some of it on a used TB2 - sounds like it's in decent nick but the engine looks like it's been mashed, no outwears spells WARNING! I'm MM all the way, but the TB2 deal was damn good. I'll be back to the $ required in 2 weeks and hopefully your kind offer is still there - cheers mate

Got a Fuelie 26cc sitting in the loft as a spare.

If you buy from EU-country, must pay taxes?

nope, no import tax shipping within the EU if the supplier has already paid them.
