View Full Version : Stock Rx battery?

Hi there - Just took a first check over of my used Tb2 (stock) and thought I'd see if the engine fires up before strip down but can't find any info on the pack other than it being 6v. Anyone know if its Ni-Cad or NiMh and the capacity? hooking it up to a Hyperion Duo rather than the wall charger. Cheers.

that's a crap shoot as i didn't think the nutechs came with an rx pack...does anyone actually use nicads nowadays for rx packs?

Cheers Moo - I think the stock Tb2 comes with the 5 cell pack but no further info as it looks like they sell with a trickle charger so no real risk of doing damage. Just posting a new thread about my Tb2 - it's not good but I'm still smiling - lol.

I use a hump pack like the one in my HPI Baja.

My MT didn't come with a RX pack. But like Mike said I use a HPI pack too.

Found a spare 2000mah Hpi one which I use for head setup on my Heli's. Shame it's a Nicad through (always think of Tamiya with that word).

Good find OJ, I like th size of that baby. it would fit a nutech box. still need a bec to step it down but that will be like having a 6-6500 mah pack at 6v.. awesome

on my gt5r box it shows a green shrink wrapped 5 cel battery. no other info. maybe chris can chime in on what they incl...

the rampage green wrapped ones were 1500mah

Swapped out the original Baja 2000mah Nicad NimH for upgraded 4500mah pack in my B. What's wierd is that my servo's all work properly now - even though both packs are fully charged. With the Nicad it would only power one servo.

I'll ditch the TB2 pack - not worth damaging my precious Hyperion Duo.

I honestly pulled my servos and gave them away. Replaced with Hitec digis. I ordered a second Nutech and ordered a couple more Hitecs right away.
