Looking good! Looks more agressive - matches the name Punisher now. Good luck at doing exactly that at the Nationals.

Apparently yesterday there were 4 FTX punishers and 1 MCD V4 thingy and there was not a great deal between them. The drivers of the FTX were all novices to racing (so I'm told) but they were going well and not seen braking the cars.
Things look positive for the brand either alloy or plastic.

I think your right Moo,

No Breaks, no bruises.

Well that didn't go according to plan, where did I come, how many laps did I do? Well none actually. Went out in practice and on the second lap had a full tilt head on with a run away hormann i think. Which totalled the front end and my chassis. So a 2 hour drive for nothing! Ah well there's always next time I suppose.

Bette luck next time,

Well that sucks about the head on... did he even have a kill switch installed and isn't that like a regulation? If not, is he paying for the damages?

at least the good news is Nutech placing well in their first event

There are no rules about kill switches other than, the one on the engine must work, be clearly marked and accessable. There is no rule that will enforce the use of remote kill switches or a fail safe in racing.
I'm not 100% sure on this but if a driver is seen to deliberatly seen to run you off the track, block or not move if being lapped they will be docked places.
If they set out to damage your car i.e go the wrong way round the track for a head on they might be banned but I've never known anyone have to pay for damage and to be honest I'm not sure how they'd enforce it.

Hope this helps.

Mike

p.s all the rules are on the BRCA LSOR website

Great idea, the only reason I didn't lift them from the BRCA website is they're not mine.

Do they include the photos of the strippers that were there?

Not great pics, but something of yesterday's action.

Really love the MCD EVO 4's double shock towers front and rear..and the adjustable rear wing.

Those are some nice shots! Did you break a servo saver?

What set up did you guys use?

Shock oils/springs?
camber front & rear?
castor?
toe in front & rear?
did you use the standard 23cc or did you bin that and go for a 26cc?
did you use a standard clutch/spring or go for a tunes version?

Cheers in advance for the info.

Thanks for kind comments on photos.

It was my first 5th scale meet, had great time. Some engines were sooooo sweet.

Really like the MCD in the background shots too..these were shots of the early heats, so couldn't really tell car positions (sorry).

The servo saver was shot to show everyone what the racer's broke (it wasn't mine). Hence, don't have much on setup info.

Lots of guys were trying on Bowtie's, but some found stock tyres better on astro-turf (one guy was trimming the outside nubs off the outside wheels..too much grip apparently). This track was quite bumpy, but this is rallycross after all.

Can't wait to attend the next race..it's only over 2 hours drive from here :omg:

Thanx for sharing the pic's some great shots there!

For astro turf I would be using GRP mini pin tyres.

These should really be posted in the UK racing section too!

The GRP astroturf tyres are fine for dry turf but at Notts like many other places in the uk, the turf is wet and muddy with grass growing through it. The Hoermann crosses and dots work well as do the dog bones, but for the 4x4 sdl yellows all round would be fine on most tracks.
