Hi Guys, I've got some questions about these cars.
1, Do they come with dog bones, CVJ's or ball drive for the drive shafts?
2, What range of shock springs are available for the cars and how are the shocks for leaking under race conditions
3, Has anyone had any major problems with the diffs and the plastic housing
4, Has anyone raced these cars competitivley
5, has anyone had any reliability issues or problems getting a good race set up
6, are there any parts such as diff, shockers, drive shafts andwheel squares that are compatible with other makes of car
Cheers, Mike

G'day Mike. Great cars, you would have to want a racing tank not to be impressed with these cars. I bought the RTR so I can only tell you what come with mine.
1, Do they come with dog bones, CVJ's or ball drive for the drive shafts? Dog bones. CVJ's are an option I believe. And I think they are standard on the PRO.
2, What range of shock springs are available for the cars and how are the shocks for leaking under race conditions
Hard and soft springs available. Pro has threaded shocks I think.
3, Has anyone had any major problems with the diffs and the plastic housing
Not as yet. Others might be tell you more.
4, Has anyone raced these cars competitivley
While I wouldn't say competitively yet (we start next month). We had a practise "race" day in Feb. 16 cars there to race in 3 heats. I was happy to be able to keep up, and pass a few of the more expensive cars. Another competitor, Bryan, was carving them up with his TBII. He has the PRO model.
5, has anyone had any reliability issues or problems getting a good race set up
No reliability issues. Race sets up are still being discussed. A few ideas with Diff oils, brake bias etc have been passed around.
6, are there any parts such as diff, shockers, drive shafts andwheel squares that are compatible with other makes of car Yes. Check out your local Nutech dealer. < Side panel. They should have the hops up parts listed there.
Hope this helps. I'm sure others with more opinions will pitch in with more info soon. There is plenty of info on this site. Browse and enjoy. I was on here for two months before I could get my hands on my TBII. Cheers!

I just got some hop ups for mine. They are very reasonable. cv's was one thing I got, and 3 aluminum dif cases.. pretty much covers my drivetrain now

I'm very impressed with the shocks, I've been jumping it like a Baja with the inevitable one wheel landings and "tumbles" and they are leak free, smooth damping action too.
Also I like the standard spring/damping set up, and think it would make a good starting point on track.
This car (plastic or alloy) will make a great race car, and unlike some makes it will make a good "Club Racers" car as well as at National level, and I think it will be THE 4wd car of choice after it's racing exposure is increased. It would be mine.
I'd love to race mine, and hope one day to do so.

ya it handles like an 8th scale buggy. you can really change attitude in the air. I just adjusted dropp screws and ran mine stock oils and such. it's a great setup out of the box. next with the dif oils done I think performance will just keep getting better. it is the first large scale I have owned I didn't fear jumping... well breaking is a better word lol
