Took the MMT out today for a short run here's what happened
got a rock stuck in the breaks easy fix
ran out of fuel easy fix
steering locked up easy fix
GIANT crack in the hood of the body....time for fiber glass
my biggest concern is the open gear on the bottom...I have been told that it is a none issue but it still bothers me..has anyone made anything to cover the gear on the bottom?
the only thing I was sad about was the body..for as think as it is, it is very brittle and not as strong as it looks..
all and all though great first run just need to find some steering mods, that is the only area that I see the needs real help...the front a arms as well but that issue is being taken care of by Nutech and Willy at C4

the hole is there to let stones out if you cover it up it will hold the stones sand etc in there .....allso do not lube the gears this only makes sand etc stick to them

Can't for the life of me find it so here's one pic i can find and I'll take another couple in a bit...Mike also has some pics as i got the FG parts from him, pipeous, pwaicon, gas jockey and a few others here have done something similar, i believe, and will hopefully chime in.
Mike can tell you exactly the parts required that i used, i do know it's an FG steering turnbuckle, shortened on one end and FG rod ends, again one shortened to give same overall length as stock...the servo end is a flush ball joint and crank end is a standoff..haven't had my FG for a while so can't remember where the rod ends come from...the flush one is steering rod end but standoff eludes me. i think pipe used nutech alloy rod ends which was a very nice touch

I was going to post this vid in the upgrades and mods section to show Jetpro's TB2 pipes performance but I thought I'd better post it here for all to see that the MMT doesn't have a problem with steering at all in my opinion, I might be lucky Jay but I've never had the problems your experiencing. I hope this gives you some hope your troubles can be corrected. :)

Everyone can change thier forum setting to show a different amount of posts per page. The best thing to do is tell FatJay which post # to check out.

the dogbone jam on full lock?
No, I fixed the dogbone issue for now by pushing the camber out....its the linkage and the servo saver....with the steering linkage it crosses over the other parts of the linkage and jams up...with the servo saver it rotates to far and spins around...I have tired making it tighter and looser....when I get the 3rd steering servo I will try and make some corrections to the design to make it tough enough to deal with what I have to dish out...

I had the servio saver turn 180 on me a couple of times when i first got my MMT but after I tightened the saver a bit i've not had the problem since, I think there is a small window of adjustment...too loose and it spins, too tight and it doesn't do it's job
