Has anyone got the MT lower front A arms in stock? the correct length that is (400mm hole to hole) I've been waiting like two weeks now for replacements and I'm getting pissed off.
Some one must have a set for sale the right length!
I'm in the UK.

They just announced it last week, it will take some time to change the mold, re-manufacture and ship-out to all there dealers, I am sure they will have them shortly but certainly isn't going to keep me down I am still running my Mega works fine just doesn't turn as sharp, I am just glad they are taking care of it :-) that's a bonus !!!!!!!
Cabbie they are 140mm center of hole to center of hole lol you accidentally typed 400mm lol that's some long arms ;-)
Thank You,
Scott

Oh, so I did :with stupid:
I'm sure the new A arms will be going out soon and Nutech are giving this issue 110% to resolve it.
Remember, if you have too short arms, you still can drive..............

i would suggest against that...but Im new here....With the other issues the steering linkage is having and the arms to short...Im already down a Rhino steering servo...IMO

Agreed, the arms being too short will put pressure on the cups bearings and knuckles!
Small adjustment for positive camber, and there is no extra pressure for cups/bearings/knuckles/servos.
Can be driven without any damages to cars/other parts! (btdt by myself and all my customers).
Only what is missing, can't use negative camber.
Yes, this issue sucks, but WE can still drive, and factory do FOC new arms.

BCBob ran a new MT out the box yesterday with the short arms and positve camber on gas jockeys new track and no problems, dogbones stayed in and truck turned fine...you can run the short arms until the new ones come in without any problems

I'm still waiting for a set from Nicolas in France.

as i said you can run the other ones with no problem...we ran a new one out the box at the new track and you can see in the vid gas kockey posted that it wasn't a problem...after a a tank or so after things had bedded in we could adjust to neutral camber, nothing was binding and it turned as sharp as mine and gas jockeys trucks...the arms may be a tad short but are totally useable until you get the new ones so give them a try and see what you think, New arms are in production and probably alreay shipped...contact Nicolas again , i'm sure he'll know his delivery schedule now

I'll run the car when it's got the correct size parts thanks. :beat dead horse:

I ran it yesterday and I think that I will also wait ......moving it slow the wheels buck side to side due to the binding..and I am not going to move the camber out more and wear the tires out....correct size parts +1 to that!!!
mooman007uk
04-18-2010, 05:22 PM
on the bench they do the side to side thing , on the ground they don't...if you have seen gas jockey's vid you can see how they steer on the ground....Scott was running one short and one normal arm and BCBob 2 short arms and I got 2 normal arms and you can't tell the difference in how they steer and they're not munching parts because of it

As long as the camber is way out it will work fine. I want the 'good' arms asap too but Moo is right it should be ok as a temp thing.

Ask from your dealer / distributor?
Mine is sent long time ago from factory.

As far as I know they aren't just sending them to dealers they add them to your orders as long as you have an order in, check with your local dealer as long as they have an order in with Nutech they will be getting them but if they are just waiting around for Nutech to randomly ship them out I don't think its going to happen.
Thank You,
Scott

Cabbie, be sure I do my best. air freight has problem for now in France. Order is done, Nutech sent it. And now all is stopped..we are waiting and can't do more.. As soon as I receive your arms, i send you.
Smoosmoo and zerogravity, thanks for your advices.I'm really happy for you: you got these arms very long time ago.

i think a naughty volcano that closed EU airspace for a week or more has something to do with a backlog of freight.
On last my post: i did not read right and also did not answer right.
My personal failure, maybe is best, if i dont spent time on forums at 04am after 3hours of sleeping :damn:

we went running yesterday again at gas jockey's, for an experiment he bolted on 2 new out the pack shorter arms and running dogbones could dial in zero deg camber with still a tad of dogbone play, still turned petty damn sharp with no binding with suspension travel....
so the shorter arms are fine until you want to set up some neg camber ...
now we got some sort of track...albeit a bashers track...we're starting to work on set up...never really been necessary before when i just bashed in the gravel pits but now a small setup change here or there is noticable...i got the longer arms and dialled in about 3deg of neg camber and it steers and grips better in the tight corners...for me anyway.
so we concluded that if you're just bashing then there is nothing wrong with the short arms...if you want neg camber then they wont work and you need longer ones, also considered the extra dogbone play with longer arms however with neg camber any extra play in the dogbones will be somewhat taken up by hub moving closer toward the diff as the camber is dialled in.

Mate, please stop banging on about how everyone can use the short lower arms, I'd have to run the wheels like this \ - / to get enough clearance and not damage cups etc.
Whats the update on the "correct" length A arms being sent out, the volcano is no longer an excuse! maybe there's an earthquake at the parts factory or a swarm of locusts on the airport runway maybe?

ahhh so you are a secret agent for NKiS and using some guerilla political tactics to help him get his order ;)
just razzin' you. it's lucky it's not me waiting and bitching. I'd probably have posted videos of me dremmeling the stock arms and say see they aren't very bloody useful now are they haha

are you aware that with the longer MT arms you need to use MT shocks or make a bridge as the TB2 shocks are too short.

Indeed I am, I'll be moving the rear TBII shocks to the front and I already purchased a set of MT rear shocks from Nicolas which he is now sending.
Looking forward to seeing the car back on it's wheels and fitting the FG beetle shell
