Fellas,

I'm a new guy to the 1/5th sacle world and want to keep it that way....
Unfortunately nutech has left a bad taste in my mouth.

Here we go....

I recently purchased a nutech thunderbolt 2 1/5th scale RC car.
It has only been about 1 day since I've owned the car and I'm still In the break in stage, *I haven't gone through a full tank of gas yet.

I was driving the car and noticed I lost the brakes, the lever above the brake discs seems to be faulty, when I engage the brake lever manually to see if they still lock the wheels it makes a click and the brakes seem to be stuck..

I've tried many ways to adjust and have had no sucess....

During that same time I noticed the left wheel was angled far more than the right, with that said I took a look at the under chassis and noticed that the screw that holds the lower ball joint in connection with the front "A" arm was missing and the wheel knuckle had popped out of it's natural position.

I'm a little upset that a 900.00 RC car was unable to make it through it's first tank of gas without falling apart.

What's the warranty on this item??

Welcome to the forum!

Sorry to hear you have had problems with your car, the clicking sound you hear from brakes is the pads moving across the threads on the pads screws... nothing to worry about!

The bolt missing from your hub things like this happen! did you check all screws etc before use?

All else fails go back to your retailer in your country whom you purchased from for one to one advise!

Welcome to the forum.
Lets see some pictures of the brake linkage issue.

A pre run check over is a good thing to do before every run, and is nescessary on a new model. Refer to the manual, it can be very helpful.

Lets see some pictures of that tb II.

Hi :welcome: to the forum
Sorry to here the news don't let this beat you down i remember when i got my first largescale my mate told me, when it arrives don't what ever you do run it first thing , you need to check all screws this was his golden rule no mater what LS it was, since then ive always checked and double checked my gasser's.
Even as a dealer of the nutech brand i advise all my customers to check all the screw be it fg horrman hpi mcd.
any way i hope you get your car on the road asap so we all can see what you are planing to do and what options you might go for

We are here to help in any way ;)

Welcome to the forum,

AS others have posted don’t get too disheartened with the issues you have they are more than likely simple repairs, and as stated I am sure your hobby shop will get things sorted for you.
